MEET LEAH
LEAH WEINBERG (SHE/HER)
Founder & Attorney, Weinberg Legal
Hi! I’m Leah Weinberg, founder of the NY-based law firm Weinberg Legal, which focuses on general representation of small businesses, wedding professionals, and creative entrepreneurs.
Not only am I an attorney, but I’ve also been a business owner myself for more than a decade. After 10 years running Color Pop Events (a wedding and event planning company), I can now call myself a recovering wedding planner in addition to an entrepreneur.
Because of my background, I know what it feels like to nurture a business from scratch and how hard it can be to find legal representation that truly gets what you do.
That’s a major reason I founded Weinberg Legal: to provide you with legal advice from someone who not only understand the nuances of your legal situation — but who also grasps how much your business means to you.
While I am personally licensed to practice law in New York and Georgia, I work with of counsel in New Jersey, Florida, Texas, and California in order to serve businesses in those states as well.
THE CREDENTIALS
Leah attended Flagler College for undergrad and received her law degree from the University of Georgia in 2005. She is admitted to practice law in New York and Georgia.
A WeddingPro Educator with The Knot + WeddingWire since 2020, Leah travels throughout the country and internationally to share insight with her peers at conferences and organizations such as DWP Congress, RSVP Club, Be Sage Conference, Coterie Retreat, Alt Summit, Wedding MBA, WIPA, NACE Experience, and The Special Event.
Leah is honored to serve on the Allied Council for the National Society of Black Wedding and Event Professionals (NSBWEP) while also mentoring through NSBWEP's Mentor Program and WeddingPro's Fellowship for Change program.
